Margarida Duarte is an associate professor of economics at the University of Toronto. She was previously a research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Her research work focuses on international economics and economic growth and development. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Journal of International Economics. Margarida received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester and a B.A. in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
